Swimming Victoria is the peak body for competitive swimming in the state of Victoria and represents the interests of approximately 160 swimming clubs and over 11,500 members.
Swimming Victoria promotes swimming as a healthy lifestyle choice and encourages swimming at all levels by supporting and guiding members and recreational swimmers to enjoy their sport and maximise their potential.
The partnership with the Cousins Travel Great Victorian Swim series increases opportunities for Swimming Victoria members to gain open water racing experience and register approved qualifying times for Swimming Australia’s Junior Excellence Program in both the 5km and 2.5km events.
Swimming Victoria’s Chief Executive Officer Warwick Waters is thrilled to partner with the Cousins Travel Great Victorian Swim Series and believes the relationship benefits Victorian swimmers.
“Giving our members more options to compete in open water events can only improve the standard of the sport in Victoria. We identified the need to increase the amount of open water events and believe we have gone some way in addressing the issue by partnering with this series,” said Waters.
Swimming Victoria looks forward to the upcoming series and wishes all competitors the best of luck.
